Sunny loved playing volleyball in her teenage years and realized her dream by making the South Korean National Team. She played in the 1981 World Cup in Japan before starting her successful career in Korean LPGA from 1988-1996.
In July of 1997 Sunny met Michael Marcum at Driving Range in Carlsbad San Diego California. They were married 8 months later!
In 2000, Sunny joined The School of Golf at Empire Lakes Golf Course in CA With Michael as full time Instructor and Club fitter until Golf Course closed.
She accepted Head Coaching position in 2007 for the Women’s Golf Team at Claremont Colleges CA where she was honored with the 2012 Western Region D3 Coach of the Year. Additionally, she lead team to the 2012 NCAA Championship.
Additional Coaching experience includes Women’s Head Golf Coach at University of La Verne and Head Girls Golf Coach at the Webb School.
